Since 2011 I have been affiliated with the Global Ethics Fellows (GEF) program at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in New York. During this time I participated in annual meetings at the Carnegie Council on issues related to current topics in international affairs. I have also organized Carnegie sponsored programs in Rio de Janeiro, including Michael Ignatieff's visit to Brazil in 2013.

Mercer Law School is one of a select number of institutions (and the only law school) that participate in the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights, which is convened each spring at Merton, College, Oxford. Students attend lectures, demonstrations, and discussions at Merton related to ongoing humanitarian crises. Mercer students who participate in the program will be designated "Mercer-Oxford" Scholars.

I have organized a number of programs for foreign judges. Most notably, I have organized intercultural legal education programs for Brazilian judges in the U.S. and in Macau, SAR. These programs are designed to offer foreign judges the opportunity to visit courts, meet with government officials, and to experience another system of legal education first hand.

brazil institute at mercer (brim)
I currently direct the Brazil Institute at Mercer (BRIM), where I was a founding member and senior scholar from 2008 to 2015. BRIM is an interdisciplinary program permanently housed at Mercer University which focuses on projects related to Brazil.
